We're Chad and Montana, the brothers behind Hydro Shine.
We're a family-owned exterior cleaning company built on hard work, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve the community around us. While our journey to this area wasn't exactly conventional, it brought our two families closer together and ultimately led us to build something we're incredibly proud of.
Our Story

Hydro Shine is more than a pressure washing company—it’s a family story.
Chad and Montana are brothers separated by 17 years. Growing up, they didn’t have the opportunity to share life under the same roof, but as they got older, they discovered something pretty special: despite the years between them and the different paths they had taken, they were kindred spirits. They shared the same values when it came to hard work, commitment, faith, and doing things the right way.
A few years ago, Montana and his family moved to the area after an opportunity to purchase a home that would allow his mother-in-law to live with them. After fighting and winning her battle with breast cancer twice, having family close by was incredibly important.
The following year, Chad and his family took a leap of faith of their own. Listening to what they felt God was calling them to do, they moved hours away from everything they had known and called home to be closer to Montana and his family.
It wasn't simply about two brothers being closer. It was about bringing two families together.
The bond between the two families runs deep, and moving closer gave them the opportunity to build a life together, share experiences, and create memories that weren't possible when they lived farther apart. And when they arrived, something unexpected happened—they didn't just feel closer to family. They felt welcomed by the community around them.
That welcome reinforced something both families already believed: this was where they were meant to be.
Montana had already spent four years working for a professional power washing company in Oakland County, learning the ins and outs of the industry and building a strong foundation of experience. When Chad came aboard, the two spent another year working side by side. Somewhere along the way, they realized they had something special—not just as brothers, but as a team.
With years of experience, a shared work ethic, and the drive to build something of their own, they decided to take a leap of faith together and start Hydro Shine.
From the beginning, Hydro Shine was built around more than providing a service. Chad and Montana wanted to build a company they could be proud of—one rooted in hard work, integrity, family, and commitment to the people around them.
Today, both families are proud to call this community home. They enjoy getting involved, meeting the people around them, supporting local families and businesses, and finding ways to give back to the community that welcomed them.
For Chad and Montana, growing Hydro Shine isn't just about building a successful business. It's about building something that becomes part of the community.

Montana Main
Co-Owner | The Experience & Detail GuyMontana has never been afraid to work hard or learn something new. Over the years, he's worked in a variety of industries—from retail and construction to restaurant kitchens and, eventually, exterior cleaning.
When Montana entered the power washing industry, he quickly found himself taking on more and more responsibility. At his previous company, he eventually took over field operations, leading the crews while running his own truck and handling the day-to-day challenges that came with keeping the operation moving.
And when something broke, Montana was usually the one figuring out how to fix it. He maintained and repaired equipment, helped build out the company's trucks each year, and became the person the team could count on when something needed to get done.
After years of taking on responsibilities that went far beyond simply cleaning properties, Montana realized something: he was already doing much of what an owner-operator would need to do.
It was time to put that experience to work for himself.
Today, Montana brings that same hands-on approach to Hydro Shine, making sure every job is done right, the equipment is ready to go, and the team delivers the level of service our customers deserve.

Chad's work ethic started early. With a growing family to support, he spent years working in a factory, putting in long hours and doing whatever it took to provide for the people who depended on him.
But hard work alone didn't make the job more fulfilling. After years of dedication without much recognition or opportunity to grow, Chad decided it was time for a change.
That led him to the electrical trade, where he spent the next eight years building a completely different skill set. Chad found the work challenging and rewarding. He enjoyed working directly with customers, solving problems, and paying attention to the intricate details that quality electrical work required.
Over time, however, Chad found himself in a familiar position. Despite years of experience and increasing responsibility, the promotions he'd been promised never came. Once again, he realized he was already doing much of what someone running their own operation would need to do.
Rather than continuing to wait for an opportunity, Chad decided to create one.
Looking for a new industry to learn and eventually build a business of his own, he joined Montana in the power washing industry. What started as two brothers working together eventually became the foundation for Hydro Shine.
Today, Chad brings his attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to customers to every part of the business.

When our families made the decision to move to the area, we were taking a leap of faith. We were leaving behind the places, people, and routines we had known for years to bring our families closer together and start a new chapter.
What we found when we arrived was more than we could have hoped for. We were welcomed by neighbors, local businesses, and people throughout the community who made a new place quickly begin to feel like home.
That welcome left an impression on both of our families. It strengthened our desire to not simply live here, but to become part of the community.
That's one of the reasons Hydro Shine means so much to us. We're not outsiders coming in to build a business and move on to the next town. We're your neighbors. We're raising our families here, building relationships here, and investing our future here.
As Hydro Shine began to grow, we wanted to find more ways to connect with the people and businesses around us. That's why we became members of the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce. Joining the Chamber was an important step for us—not only as business owners, but as people who genuinely want to be involved in the community we call home.
Being part of the Chamber gives us an opportunity to meet other local business owners, build meaningful relationships, learn from others, and contribute to the continued growth of our community.
